"Airlines suck more than just your wallet"

Films: The Night Flier (1997)

Alias: Dwight Renfield

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Airports are Hell on Earth. The long wait times, the involuntary flight cancelations, the alright-to-awful service on the planes themselves, and above all, the vampires stalking the place. Wait, what?

History: A rather heartless reporter known as Richard Dees is on the hunt. There is a person named Dwight Renfield who claims to be a vampire, and is currently killing people at an airport. While Dees does increasingly bad things to get the answers, Renfield just watches as his pursuers let their hatred for each other get the best of them.

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: In retaliation for him being such an ass and a pursuer, Renfield forces Dees to drink the vampire's blood and experience horrific visions of Renfield's undead victims. The insane man is soon shot down by a rival investigator, and the Night Flier escapes on his Cessna Skymaster.

Powers/Abilities: Shapeshifting and the ability to infect others with his blood.

Weakness: Possibly the usual vampire weaknesses.

Scariness Factor: 4-Renfield is perhaps one of the scariest modern vampires so far. His voice is cold yet cool as a cucumber, he's a master of illusions, mirrors BREAK upon seeing his true face, and dear god those jaws and those TEETH! Perhaps the only levity is that it's a little amusing seeing an imposing cloaked vampire hop get into a biplane to get away. He's also slightly melancholy in some of his killings, showing he's really tired of his lifestyle.

Trivia: -There was a sequel planned known as "Fear of Flying". It would have delved into Renfield’s origins and followed the other investigator. But it never got the funds needed.

-A lot of the dead people photos shown in the film were actually real cases of murder, all found from the album of a 30s-50s homicide detective.
